Choosing the Right Size for Press-On Nails
If you're new to press-on nails, you might be wondering how to determine your nail size. Many people face this dilemma, and today I’m here to guide you through the process of measuring your nails at home. Finding the right size is crucial for achieving a comfortable fit and a flawless look, so let’s dive into the steps!
Steps to Measure Your Nail Size
-
Prepare Your Materials
Grab a piece of clear tape, a fine marker, and a ruler. Alternatively, you can use a piece of string or paper if you don’t have tape handy. -
Attach the Tape
Stick the piece of clear tape to your nail and press it down firmly to ensure it adheres well. -
Mark Your Measurements
Using the fine marker, draw a line on both sides of your nail. This will serve as your measurement guide. -
Remove the Tape
Carefully peel the tape off your finger and place it on a smooth, flat surface. Make sure it remains straight to get an accurate measurement. -
Measure
With your ruler, measure the distance in millimeters between the two lines you drew. This measurement will help you determine your nail size. -
Consult the Sizing Chart
Check the sizing chart below to match your measurement with the appropriate size. -
Mark down you nail size
If your nail size doesn’t perfectly match the chart, choose the size that fits best. Some people recommend opting for a larger size because you can use a file to gently shape them down. Personally, I prefer to go one size smaller, as I find that it elongates the appearance of the nails and gives a more elegant look. -
Repeat for All Fingers
Be sure to measure all the fingers on one hand to ensure a consistent fit.
